woofer excursion/ enclosure volume

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; MSN 2.5; Windows 95):

I recently put a 4 ohm pioneer car sub in my Klipsch KSW-200. It sounds way better than the plain old klipsch driver, but it looks like it is doing to much excursion. This sub is reccomended for 1.5 sealed, 1.65 vented, i think the klipsch is more than 1.65, could this be the reason?
