Bi-wiring Denon AVR 3200 and Heresy

What you will get by doubling up to one terminal is an effective wire gauge 3 steps lower than the wire gauge you use (cross sectional area doubles every 3 AWG numbers). This means you have half the resistance (good), half the inductance (good), but also twice (assuming both +/- runs have the same capacitance) the capacitance (bad) of the single wire cable. It will likely affect the sound (though perhaps not perceptably) and may even be cheaper than buying a single cable 3 gauges larger. The phase errors from two closely matched wires are almost definitely way below the threshold of audio perception. Now that I think about it, there are even high $$ speaker wires that use multiple core wires where the cores are insulated from each other, giving a similar effect to your proposed setup. I say go for it! And I want a full report of your findings on my desk in the morning!
