Irv,

Interesting point, and I agree application would have to be known to choose "just" the right speakers.

I guess it would be nice to have high end audiophile as well as perfect represtentation of THX mixed movies, but then again I want my cake, and I want to eat it too :)

For my sake I was looking to get a very good hybrid of the two. I am quite musical myself and listen to much music of all relams and acutally play the trumpet too. So I have an ear for music, tone, instrumentations, staging of orchestras, etc.. BUT I also *love* movies and their soundtracks.

So perhaps my application would be a hybrid of audiophile and THX. Speakers that have the accuracey and grace of the high end audio, yet enough muscle to handle a THX movie, and sound good.

I did check out the MK site, very interesting... its always good to know what the ranch uses. Some others I was looking at were Sonus Faber, MLs, and B&W.

Looking forward to your input,

David
