Hsu Research vs. ACI for budget sub?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):

I'm considering a mailorder purchase for a sub to save some money. I'm looking at the Hsu Research 1225 and 1220 as well as the Audio Concepts, Inc. Titan sub.

Does anyone have input on value for the money, performance, and general impressions of these subs? Direct comparisons would be useful. Thanks!

(Yes I have read the reviews on the SMR site, just want more input.)
