Well, I just signed the cheque for two pairs of Cobalt 810's and a Cobalt CC20. I was dying to go with the Electra's - honestly, but $$$ was the reality considering I got to pay my tuition again next Sept.

I have always loved the 810's since we first got them in the store. They sounded very weak in the bass at first, and I remember that I was pleased with them, not not as pleased I was lately after they've been broken in for the last couple of months (at the store). Now when mine come in, I'll have to at least break them in for 100hours min. before they sound sweet...

Now all I need is my five subwoofers...
Are you a sub fan? How do you like/have you heard the Paradigm PW-2200 and the Paradigm Servo-15? I want to use a PW-2200 for each channel (except the centre) and a Servo 15 for the .1. I tried the PW-2200 at home already and I founf it a little slow - there was some overhang, although it sounded quite deep and never too muddy like some I've heard. The only problem with my limited time audition was the fact that I was doing most of my listening in Pro-logic (with music) BAD! so I had like all five channels being directed to the sub, accounting for its messey sound. But when I played Broken Arrow (DD laserdisc) and Jurassic Park (DTS Laserdisc), the sub sounded a heck of a lot better.
I like the sub 'cause it goes deep. But I had the level of the sub pretty low and it produced a lot of bass. So therefore, do I need five? ...yes. I DO believe bass is directional. I know in a lot of movies there is some cool deep bass in the rear. I want to reproduce it!

But thanks for your opinion. I'm sure I'll be happy! The Electostats might be way to fast for adding subs anyway. I think I'd only buy them if I were a music listener only...but I do both...

I just love how revealing they are!

Mike
