I don't claim any real expertise in this area. I know on my Yamaha, small rolls of all sub 90hz to the Subwoofer. It also has a selection for LFE destination that only applies to AC3 digital. I understand there is some rear channel low HZ info in AC3.

All of my speakers are set to "small" and all sub 90hz goes to the Titan. I have no complaints about the performance -- though I'm sure some of the real audiophiles here can be more help.

I responded because I have a complete ACI system (3 Emeralds, 2 Encores + Titan) and couldn't be happier. If you have questions about matching up the Titan give ACI a call. They are really patient and helpful.
