I used it with music mostly and it sounded great! I then whip out my Radio Shack soundmeter, popped in the Stereophile Test CD2 and took some measurements. The 1225 was flat from 40Hz to 63Hz at 100dB +/-1dB, at 80Hz it was down -5dB but this was expected since that was the crossover of my Denon 3200. Below 40 Hz, it was down -6dB @ 31.5Hz, -12dB @ 25Hz, -13dB @ 20Hz. Dr. Hsu was right, it was flat down to 40Hz but you will need their amplifier if you want it to be flat down to 25Hz. The reviews I've read stated that it can get over 100dB at 25Hz with their amp. I'm pretty happy with the sound though even if it is down -12dB at 25Hz. I will try some DVDs this weekend then will decide if it will be worth it to spend more for their amp (and leave my 400W Carver M400 useless??). Will keep you posted. Morris
