One option is to build your own. Get a JBL 2245H 18 inch driver, and mount it in a 13 cu ft (net) box with a 30 inch long tube with 9.5 inch diameter. The exterior dimensions should be 44.25 by 23.75 by 29.5 inches, assuming you make it out .75 inch MDF and double the thickness of the baffle. The vent is in the rear, tuning the box to 25 Hz. The box should be heavily braced , preferably by a space frame of 2 by 4's all around, and the walls should be solidly glued and screwed to it. All together under $ 600 you will have excellent subwoofer for every purpose.
