You can not put a driver X into a box designed for driver Y. If you want a specific driver , then get help designing a box that will work with your choice, and in the way you want it work.
Passive radiator are mainly used to tune a small box to a low frequency, just like a vent, they have their pluses and their minuses. But you can not just tear it and expect the box to work.
