Polk vs Paradigm Satellite/Sub System

I'm inclined to think not. 100-140Hz is in the lower mid-range region and is not covered by most tone controls. Also, boosting the bass control if it did cover that area may correct that area of the spectrum but disturb everything in the low end too, so the midrange would be accurate but everything else downward would be artificially boosted. You need to listen carefully to a system like the Polks with Dolby Digital material and a male voice, James Earl Jones, Anthony Hopkins or Charlton Heston. Listen to see if you can hear a weakening of their presentation when compared to a loudspeaker that has a frequency range of 80Hz to 20Hz with the same sub-woofer and settings. If you don't notice anything untoward then forget all of this conversation. :-)
