What speakers.

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

I've just got a new receiver - it is a Technics SA-TX50. I'm not quite ready for HT setup so I would like to start with 2-channel speakers. The amp is pretty powerful - it has 135 Watts per channel in stereo mode. What speakers should I look at in a 10-12 hundred dollar range? Thank you.
