Bruce The F1800 unit is a good unit. the driver is based on the ULD line.
(a cross of ULD and F series drivers)
The amp is an FSR series. at 250 watts (750 Peak) some feel it may be a bit underpowered. this can be a draw back for some. The people who felt that power was a problem mostly wanted to use it in home theater systms. However most of the people that I have spoken to after purchasing the F1800 are very happy with it. most claim that it has a better sound than others they listened to. Is it a good deal. based on price / performance alone, I would say yes. It is a mature design and works well.
