I just purchased the HGS-15 which is one notch down from their new 18. I had a hard time scraping up $2300 let alone $2800.

You don't want to look at the FSR (if money permits) as these new HGS' are simply phenomenal.
The distortion ratings are lowest of the low that I have seen, or heard. The bass is extremely tight (not boomy) which truly lends itself to music and movie.

The 18 pushes more air and may rattle more pictures but both (15/18) are simply great due to their 380oz. magnet and .5% distortion.

In addition to the lower price I found the 15 a little cleaner, tighter.
