OK, I agree with the "spouse acceptance factor".
Hsu's subs notwithstanding, MOST subs are adequate looking(black, glossy 20" cubes).
The similarly priced(against the ASSEMBLED Titan) Paradigm PW-2200, which is practical in size and appearance, stomps ALL OVER THE TITAN!!!
Both have been reviewed by Mr. Sub, Tom Nousaine in Stereo Review/Sound&Vision: "Titan"(4/98), PW-2200(4/99).
If you think the Titan's bass is good, you haven't heard anything yet.
Despite it's unusual look, I would still get the Hsu 1225 over the "Titan".Patrick
