I think a proper subwoofer system should be able to reproduce DD/DTS film at *reference* volume levels, down to the lowest frequencies present on DVD/LD.

DD LFE *reference* is 115dB at the listening position...and DVDs/LDs generally bottom out in the 21-25hz range...so that would be...

115dB/listening position/25hz.

Could a number of corner loaded *titans* reproduce film audio the way it was intended? Yes....if that *number* happened to be ....around 60?


Obviously, not many commercial subwoofers are going to have true reference performance capabilites...but equally obvious is the fact that the closer a subwoofer can get to *reference* output, the better off you are.
