No, that isn't correct. Doubling the power of an amplifier gains 3dB, as is outlined in the article linked to at the foot of this message. Likewise, if two identical drivers in two identical locations receiving the same signal are used, the second increases the SLP by 3dB. An example of this would be theatrical surround calibration. Left Surround is calibrated to 82dB SPL; Right Surround is also calibrated to 82dB SLP. When the two are combined, the entire output measures the required 85dB - an increase of 3dB.
