Biwiring - gimmick?

Posted by Leo C [IP: 203.56.237.102] on August 22, 1999 at 08:08:38
Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98):

I have always wondered about bi-wiring. My AR 310HO's are bi-wireable and i removed the jumper straps and replaced them with some proper speaker wire. By bi-wiring, it still seems that the signal splits up somewhere along the line for the woofer and the tweeter/mid woofs- either at the amplifier's output or the speaker's terminals. Is it worth buying some more cable? Will it make a difference? Electrically, it seems the same!
