Charlie:

I use KEFs all around for my surround sound set-up. I originally had (used/2nd hand) Q10s, but have since switched to the bigger & newer Q75s.

I love the sound of concentric drivers, atleat in the two brands I've listened to: Tannoy & KEF. While no without fault, concentrics have a very wide dispersion pattern, and image very well. If you do end up getting the KEFs, you can get a really wide sound stage by NOT pointing them at the listenig position. That's right, no toe in. Point them straight into the room and you'll hear pinpoint imaging and a wide sound stage.

BTW, you may want to consider used Q15s; I've seen them on-line for as low as $215 to $225. Also, is there a KEF dealer anywhere near you? You ought to give these speakers (or any others, for that matter) a good listen before coughing up the moolah.

Hope this helps.

Best,
Sanjay
