Biwiring - gimmick?

See my post to Tom and his new Stratus Silvers.

To elaborate a bit, the strap must be removed to "break" the connection between the bass and upper-end portions of the crossover... and yes the connections are before the crossover.


Just replacing the strap with speaker cable will do nothing - you must make an addtional run back to the power amplifier with another run of good speaker cable.
