Speaker-level vs Line-level sub connections??????

Using Mozilla/3.01-C-MACOS8 (Macintosh; I; PPC):

In this situation, then, the regular amp channels for the side speakers are wasting most of their power on low frequencies that will be filtered out and re-powered by the subs amps, correct?
