Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):

I've been noticing that some (very few?) speakers have ports or vents in the front of the box instead of the rear. a few of interest are the Joseph Audio RM7si the B&W Nautilus series 804/805 and the new Aerial model 6.. Does this allow a speaker to be installed closer to a back will without adverse affects as to bass?. The Aerial model 6 was a very impressive small floor standing model.. Any impressions of this speaker would be greatly appreciated. The scan is a Aerial Acoustics model 6 with front port. There are no rear ports on this speaker. Thanks, -Ross
