Hi Shawn, 3db is generaly considered a noticable difference in volume level. 10 db is what many consider a doubling of volume. To increase volume by 3db requires a doubling of power ie 90db@1watt, 93db@2watt, 96bd@4watt, 99@8watt ect. You can run out of watts real quickly, it takes a lot of juice to get to 115db but who needs to? BTW, this reply was more for the origional poster 'cause I'm sure you caught the mix up about 3 tenths of a second after your mouse left the submit button.
