I've listened to the Silver 5's, B&W CDMs, Hale Transcendence Ones, and PSB Stratus Minis all in one room at the same time. The Hales were #1 but $2K, the Silvers were #2 at $1K, the B&W CDMs were #3, and PSBs were last. The Hales had a little more clarity and openess in the soundstaging. The Silver 5's were good but just not as good. I've got a really large room. When I pushed the Silver 5's (Adcom GFA555 200watts), they became muddy and lost alot of their clarity. If you've got a medium to small size room, I think they would be an excellent choice. As other people have stated, speakers are a very personal choice. Make sure you can return them if you're not happy with them.
