I heard the same concept, which is why I moved my Maggie MG1s to the rear when I bought the Maggie 1.6Qs for the front. Now I need a Maggie center speaker. Does the same concept also hold for power amps. For example, I have a Rotel 3-channel amp (200wpc) and was thinking about adding a Bryston 4BST (250wpc) to round out the system, but was told I should stick to the same make of amp. Is this the common wisdom in amps, also?
