Best satellite/powered subwoofer system?

Their rated efficiency is 86dB, which is moderate. Fortunately for me, I needed a HUGE amplifier to drive my previous speakers (a pair of Dayton-Wright XG8MkIII elctrostatics)... so I just use the Hafler-500 that I used with the electrostats (255W/channel RMS into 8Ohms). It's massive overkill for the SuperZeros, but since I already had it... The ACI units certainly have a fine reputation. But at that price, you could get 3 SuperZeros, an M&K MX-125Mk2, and have enough $$ left over to buy yourself season tickets to your favorite performing arts organization. And I think you'd wind up with a system that sounds as good as the ACI but with better bass extension. The real bottom line: go listen for yourself! Just don't start with the mistaken idea that you are forced to give up sound quality by moving to a satellite/powered-sub system. There are some REALLY good choices out there!
