Importance of Center Speaker?

Using Mozilla/4.06 [en] (Win95; I ;Nav):

I am looking for a center speaker for a DD5.1 setup. Some of the prices for this one speaker are quite high. How important is this speaker in a six speaker system if it is mainly for dialog?
