polk setup

I am looking at a similar system. I was told it would be better let the subwoofer handle all the low bass. If you follow this advice and tell the receiver that your front left and right are "small", then then the RT55 would be better.

I currently have a pair of older Polk Monitor 10Bs, which I expect sound similar to the RT1000s (10Bs have a1" dome tweeter, two 6.5" drivers, passive 10" radiator, -3DB at 38Hz.)

I was looking at the same center and surrounds as you are, but I can't decide which sub to use. I like the Velodyne FSR-12, but I wish it were cheaper (I was quoted $995).
