Anyone familiar with Canon speakers??

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

I invested in a pair of Canon V-100 rear speakers for my DPL system about 5 years ago. I can't find any data on them but remember that they weren't cheap.

I am expecting delivery of a DSP-A1 soon and wondered if they would be OK for rear speakers until I can afford something bigger/better. Or maybe I should use them as front effect speakers?

Can anyone enlighten me on how good/bad these Canon speakers are in today's market? Are Canon still making speakers??? Should I bite the bullet and go and get those B&Ws or KEFs now (and let the kids starve)?
