Need Help with a Sub Localization Problem

Another (more likely) reason for the problem lies with the room itself. It is possible that you are experiencing that great "bass bugaboo"...standing waves. Not knowing the layout of your room (wider than long?) or the "treatment" of it (ie: carpet or hardwoods...etc.?) makes it a difficult call but you might want to experiment with the judicious use of room treatment...especially a corner treatment (such as "Tube Traps"). Feel free to e-mail me with questions. I work at a high end audio shop and I deal with these kinds of situations all day long. All the best!
