Receiver for Energy C-2

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en] (Win98; I):

I have a 20 year old Sansui AU 517 amp driving my new Energy C-2 speakers. At low volume, it all sounds fine. But when I try to crank it up, I find some distortion. I am eventually going to make this all HT and want to know if anyone has any recommedations on a receiver that would fit my needs.
