I just got my 7B's and the center and love them both. (got the rears too) for your info..the center channel and 7b's are increasing in price as of march 1st (today) before we answer your question be forewarned..the aerials need ALOT of power to get them to reasonable listening levels. I had the same amp powering B&W's before the aerials and even a small twist of the knob would blow me away, now i'm at 00 on my dc-2 screen and its reasonable w/ the aerials.
Your question: If you are in the market for a pre-amp I wouldn't recommend the Sony. With such great equipment why would you put a "lower Quality" component at the heart of it? Buy a DC-1 for the same price, its a much better unit and you can steal them now (sub $2000 NEW) Try the B&K stuff over the Sony, it's superior in every way. the ref 20 and 5000 mark 2 amp are much better and the 202 is significantly better than the sony stuff. sony is good not great, aerial is great not good..think about it
