Denon 5000 DVD and DC1

I am looking at the new Denon 5000 DVD player that has its own DA converter and can handle HDCD. Will this be overkill because of the lower limits of the DC1 - 48k sampling instead of 96? Worse yet, will I not be able to play throught the DC1?
