You don't need a DTS labelled LD player, any model with a digital output will do. Likewise CD players, virtually all of them can output the digital signal from a DTS music disc. Actually you can play the DTS music discs in your LD player.

You do need a DTS labelled DVD player though - although any DVD player will play DTS music discs (not DVDs).

There are production DTS DVD-Video discs…. In Japan and they're region 2. I've seen one - had nothing to play it on though. ;-)
