Probably not. After all, the input signals have only 16 bits of resolution (perhaps 18 for Dolby Digital & DTS?). Anything beyond is interpolation.

The number of bits isnt everything.

Even with 1-bit DACs, I'm sure that the DC-1 sounds as good as 20 or 24-bit DACs.
