24 bit announcement

Even though the DC-1 is using 24 bit DAC's now, they are only operating at the same resolution as the old 20 bit DAC's, due to the design of the rest of the d/a circuitry.

The changeover was forced on Lexicon because Crystal Semiconductor stopped shipping their 20bit chip (the 4329 I think) and only made the 24 bit version available (the 4390).

So even if you have the newer DAC's you are not getting any better D/A conversion than us old hacks with the 20bit DAC's!!
