speaker placement and lexicon settings

I am putting together a 12x17 video room weith NHT VT-2s and a lexicon DC-1.

Where is the best place for the side surrounds (there will be no rear speakers).

The TV will be on the short wall about 14' from the TV. I will be usuing the NHT Hybrid dipoles (their top of the line full 57-20000 hz version for the VT-2). I am thinking of putting them about 18" from the ceiling and 3' from the rear walls.

Should the front LR speakers be near the walls or the set? The center speark will be on the set. The sub woofers placement (an old Dahlquist) will be determined by the placement of the front speakers.

What are reasonable settings on the DC-1 for this configuration.
