The center This depends on how wide a front soundstage you want. Typically, a wider speaker separation is preferred for music than movies--for music as wide apart as possible without introducing holes in the soundfield; for movies, flanking the visual image. Obviously, the size of the TV will be a factor. You'll really need to experiment with this one. Set the appropriate speaker distances. Don't configure the sides as "dipoles"--all that does is disable stereo surround in the THX modes; just make them "standard." Invest $30 in a Radio Shack SPL meter and calibrate speaker levels. Enjoy your great system.
