There's not much to effect. Even if it were currently in the DC-1, there's no MLP encoded signals to play.
Nor is there agreement on how (if there were MLP encoded discs) the audio would be transmitted out of a DVD Audio player (which dosn't exist either).

Likely the next major format to consider will be a from of Dolby Digital Surround EX (which is the new format that the next Star Wars installment will premier).
DC-1 owners already enjoy that type of audio performance...
