Need DVD Player for DC-1

Now that I have played with the music modes for a while, I am ready to get a DVD and play with the video. I don't want to invest too much since DTV will be here soon enough. I was thinking of a Pioneer 414 to hold me over for 4-6 years. It has DD and DTS. Any other suggestions/experience for around $400-600?
