Subwoofer levels: How do you do it?

Posted by Mark Giovannetti [IP: 209.138.41.89] on November 28, 1998 at 07:29:19:

I have been wondering for quite some time about setting the DC-1's output level on subs with volume controls. I never really see much written on how specifically to do it. Let me explain myself: When you have a sub with a volume control, where do you set it? You have some flexibility and interactivity with the sub volume control and the DC-1 calibration levels (-10.0db to +10.0db). If you have the sub volume up high, then the you are probably into the -db's, and vice versa if the sub volume is set low. I am just curious to know what some other DC-1 owners are doing out there. Thanks. Mark
