Set too low, and + 10 on the DC-1 will still not give enough output. The same is true at the high end. Turning your woofer volume too high, will give too much output, even if the DC-1 is set at -10. Within this useable range, I don't think it makes much difference, although if you're run is fairly long, I guess I'd rather see the DC-1 setting on the higher side and the Sub setting on the lower side, within your workable range. Now I have a related question: I use multiple subs. How to get their relative levels fairly equal? Presently, I've sent a steady signal to them one at a time, and adjusted each one individually to achieve the same SPL at the listening position. When all are evenly matched, then I use the DC-1 output control to get the conglomerate to the right spl. I'm wondering whether I should instead measure each sub right at it's grill cloth, when adjusting them to the same relative output level? Michael
