Sills on November 28, 1998 at 09:33:07: Michael, If all your subs are driven from the same source each additional sub should add 3dB to the total SPL level if each were set to the same level individually. You need to set the average level for each sub from room response readings taken at the seating positions. Then adjust the overall average response of all the subs taken at the seating positions with the master gain control. Room response is taken with your mic pointed straight up at the ceiling at your normally seated ear height. Close mic techniques will give speaker output response and not room response (what you hear). Don
