DC-1/Pre-amp Routing

Hi guys
I was just thinking of re-configuring my system to route the main L/R of the DC-1 through a pre-amp so that I can obtain the benefits of a HDCD decoder (Classe DAC-1) I just purchased.

Anyone try this? WOuld appreciate comments (pros/cons) and recommendations for pre-amp candidates.

I thought of Creek. They have an OBH-12. Any others I should consider?
