Subwoofer levels: How do you do it?

I'm coming at you from all directions today…

: Presently, I've sent a steady signal to them one at a time, and adjusted each one individually to achieve the same SPL at the listening position. When all are evenly matched, then I use the DC-1 output control to get the conglomerate to the right spl.

That sounds like the ideal method if you have all your sub-woofers connected to the same output, but don't you have them configured in different ways ie. one connected to the centre output? If so it's going to get a little more complex.
