I use the 1.5s as surround speakers for my NHT 3.3s and AC-1 center channel. I agree, the 1.5s are surprisingly good for the bucks, and I'm very content with them overall. I've been tempted to swap them for the full range NHT 2.5i to get the additional low end, but they wouldn't work too well in my already cramped living room.

Even though the 1.5 has the better tweeter, the same one as in the 3.3, if you're thinking about the SuperOne I would suggest considering the SuperTwo instead. They are a floorstanding speaker that is a derivative of the SuperOne with a small downward firing woofer for response down in the mid-30Hz. The footprint of the SuperTwo is very small, making them perfect for tight spots.

So my suggestion would be to compare the SuperTwo versus the SuperOne versus the 1.5 against your criteria.
