Yes. Put your money in the speakers. A cheap CD player with a digital out is all you need. The DC-1's D/A converters are some of the best you can buy, far better than most CD players on the market today. That is one oif the reasons why you are paying such high dollars for the Lexicon, for its chips... Anyway, the importance of CD players are a big misunderstanding out there. A lot of people think that if they put a lot of money into some trick CD player that their system will sound good, but this is incorrect. A system is only as good as the room it is played in, and the speakers it plays through.
