DC-1 and A/V Switching

Before you think about comb filters, are you using an s-vhs VCR? If so then run the cable through the VCR and use its s-video connection for TV input on the DC-1. I have to do it this way because the PAL tv that I have here in the US does not have an NTSC tuner. My cable box output goes to my NTSC s-vhs vcr and then to DC-1. I split the audio outputs from the vcr to the DC-1's VCR and TV inputs with y-cables and set the TV input up in the DC-1 as using the video feed from the VCR input. Works like a charm.

If this is not an option then Tributary sell a cheap comb filter - around $80 I think - no idea of the quality but for cable it may not matter.
