There is a review of the ACT3 in last months SGHT which mentions a similar problem. Seems as though it takes an actual signal for the unit to lock onto the correct decoding scheme. Evidently, this is also present in other pieces and has just not been noticed due to the fact that most of the previous experience is with movies which start out with signal which is less noticable. Music is a problem since there is no preliminary signal.
