Left Rear Channel Problem

I have a new (v 2.10) DC-1 with DD, DTS, etc. Recently I have noticed some odd behavior in the surround channels (I am only running rears, no side). Although I can run the listening level test just fine--I can hear the burst independently through all five speakers, and have them all set to the same level, I am not getting any sound out of the left rear when playing a source (DVD, tape, or television), unless I turn the volume all the way up and then I can hear something only faintly. The unit runs through the calibration routine just fine. I have checked the obvious stuff like speaker and RCA connections. Has anyone run into this problem? Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.
