Height of side/rear speakers

I'm almost ready to hook up my 2 month old DC-1; my system has been in pieces while I build an in-wall entertainment center.

The manual's first mention of surround speaker height says to place them at ear level. If this is done, how will front/rear aerial flyby's, for insatnce, sound like they're high up?
